The Experiment Management System was first released in 1997, and since then, a number of universities around the world use it daily for management of their research participant pool. Sona Systems has its main offices in Tallinn, Estonia, and an additional office in Manila, Philippines. Dubbed " e-stonia" by some, Estonia (a member of the European Union) is consistently ranked as one of the most technologically-advanced countries in the world.
