Dishoom is proud to be recognised as one of the best places to work in hospitality. Looking after people is at the core of what we do, and we work hard to make life at Dishoom the best it can be. Our view is that it’s part of human nature to care about making people happy. We all care about this deeply. We call this Seva. Seva means having a big, warm heart. Seva means we don’t just serve people, we take them in and look after them to the very best of our ability – guests and team alike. Alongside running busy sites with large teams, we also believe in doing more. Each year, we pledge to plant a tree for every Dishoom-walle, continue to break down barriers through our cultural events, and support children through our Meal for a Meal initiative. As of this year, we have donated 30 million meals (and counting) to children in the UK and India, with every Dishoomwalle contributing 55 meals per shift to this cause. Since 2010, our cafés have celebrated all of the food and drink of Bombay. We currently have cafés across London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and soon to be Leeds! Our cafés are bustling spaces where people come together to break down barriers and share in a love of Bombay food and culture. We have Permit Rooms in Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford, Portobello Road London and Liverpool. Our bar-cafés are lively spaces, woven into the fabric of their local communities. Our genuine love of people means you’ll always be welcomed with real warmth.

Giggling Squid is all about food with personality, cooked with expertise and shared with generosity. At our heart is the spirit of Thai mealtimes - plentiful dishes, bold flavours and exotic ingredients - to be shared and enjoyed together. We started from a determination to do things differently. To be one of a kind and bring some Thai generosity to the UK. Back then, what was missing from the food scene was that true Thai feel – energetic, informal, adventurous, and truly welcoming. We believe food is to be celebrated and you don’t have to dress up to enjoy it. Relaxed, no standing on ceremony – it’s about having a good time, over something tasty. It’s important to us that everyone who walks through our doors feels as if they’re coming into our home. It’s our incredible people, from our skilled chefs to our welcoming front of house staff, and their shared generosity of spirit that lies behind every great guest experience. We now have a few more restaurants under our belt (49 to date) but the important stuff hasn’t changed since we started. We’re still as hungry as ever to give our guests a truly memorable experience, leaving full and happy!
