Solstice West is a residential treatment center for adolescent girls ages 12–18, specializing in addictive and compulsive behaviors rooted in trauma, attachment, anxiety, and depression. We serve adolescents who identify as female, including nonbinary and transgender AFAB students. At Solstice West, we believe that addictive and compulsive behaviors are rarely the whole story. They are often the visible surface of something deeper — unprocessed trauma, disrupted attachment, loss, or anxiety that hasn't had a safe place to land. Our clinical model is built to address both: the behaviors that brought a student to us, and the underlying experiences driving them. Our approach is relationship-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based modalities including DBT, CBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, experiential therapy, and family systems work. We don't treat students in isolation — family involvement is woven into the treatment process from the beginning, because lasting recovery happens in the context of healing relationships. Solstice West is located on a private, gated campus in Layton, Utah, with capacity for 22 students. Our program is fully licensed by the State of Utah and accredited by Cognia and CARF, with academic credit recognized by California and Washington State. As part of EOSIS Utah, Solstice West continues to provide the specialized, relationship-centered care our students and families rely on — now with the organizational support of a national behavioral health network behind us.
