Solstad House is a locally-centric General Store based in Beacon, NY serving the greater Hudson Valley as well as Beacon’s growing guest population from NYC and beyond. Our brick & mortar operation is supported by our online store, SolstadHouse.com, where people from all over the country can access the uniquely curated Solstad House product selection. Beacon residents and spouses, Stephen Yount & Frankie Martinez opened Solstad House General Store in 2019 with a goal to connect with the community and promote their mission of senior-aged dog rescue. Our desire from the beginning has been to offer a memorable and hospitable shopping experience with an emphasis on hand-made and small batch products that look, smell, and taste great; a place where our friends and neighbors, as well as Beacon's many visitors, can hang out, find unique and affordable merch, or just pop in with their dogs for a complimentary treat!
