Solitaire Seating was initially born out of extensive inquiries from the local market seeking an Australian manufactured task chair which was certified to Australian Standards but was comfortable for long durations of sitting, providing relief from back pain and pressure discomfort. Extensive research and development was undertaken with direct input from physiotherapists and ergonomic specialists to create several prototypes of the task chair which incorporated unique 'Comfort Cell Technology' along with several new ergonomic innovations. Direct market testing and trialing completed the evaluation process, with very positive feedback received. A selection of the chairs were then submitted for extensive testing and received AFRDI certification, meeting and exceeding the Standards and regulations for office seating. Hence Solitaire Seating was established and acquired a small manufacturing facility and began producing and marketing the chairs. The product range has been remarkably successful with sales continuing to rise as more organisations trial and purchase the seating.
