SolidVets (www.solidvets.com) is a non-profit offering free training in Onshape and Solidworks for Veterans with an Honorable or General discharge. The training will be instructor-led and cloud based scheduled for evenings and weekends and lasting approximately six months. The goal will be for the Veterans to pass a certification test and secure a job as a CAD Designer in the manufacturing sector. SolidVets will start with a minimum of 15 Veterans and commence instruction at the end of July, 2018. If you have experience in designing with Onshape or Solidworks and would like to be a virtual mentor to a Veteran, send an email to terry@solidvets.com. Mentoring will be primarily via email and phone at agreed upon intervals established by you and the Veteran.
