Solidhouse provides solid email solutions built on proven technologies. We use the industry standard Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) standard which is compatible with every major email client ensuring that you don't have to change your software to work with our systems. We also provide large mailboxes so that users do not have to worry about filling up their mailboxes while they are away. Junk mail accounts for %75-90% of email on the internet today. Without proper protection most people would have their inbox overrun. That is why we provide layered junk mail filtering to reduce junk email drastically. The first layer checks email as it is arriving and will delete messages that are obviously junk email. The second layer does a series of checks against several lists of known junk emailers. The fourth layer examines the message for suspicious content. The final layer takes all this information and either deletes the message, marks it as a potential junk message, or if everything passes forwards it on to the recipient as a legitimate message. All these layers combined result in a very clean inbox for our clients. One of the most popular ways for viruses to spread is through email. For that reason Solidhouse provides anti-virus scans on incoming emails for all of our clients. Since we started scanning for viruses on the mail server we have never had a report of a client getting a virus via email. Although server anti-virus should not be your only defence against harmful computer viruses (as they can get in through means other than e-mail) it is a great first defence.
