Solid PR is an independent public relations firm owned and operated by music publicist Derek Meier, based out of the New York Metropolitan area and Southeast Florida. Having started his career as a publicist for close to three years at Girlie Action Media and marketing in New York City, Meier represented some of the most well-known names in the major label and independent music community, including artists such as The Faint, Le Tigre, AFI, Spoon, Superchunk, Spiritualized, Pinback, Samiam, Ben Folds, G Love and Special Sauce, The X-Ecutioners, DJ Assault, Richie Hawtin (Plastikman) and more.
