About Soleful Kicks Every step tells a story. Soleful Kicks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Chatham County, North Carolina, dedicated to motivating youth to set and achieve personal goals—academic, behavioral, social, and community—by rewarding them with a brand-new pair of sneakers of their choice. We believe that sneakers are more than footwear; they’re a symbol of confidence, belonging, and pride. Many children in our community face challenges that limit access to essentials like new shoes. By tying sneakers to goal-setting, Soleful Kicks helps young people: Build self-worth and resilience Strengthen relationships with peers and mentors Celebrate achievements in a meaningful way Our programs are already making an impact in schools, foster care, diversion programs, and youth-serving organizations.
