Softstart BTI Information

Softstart Business and Technology Incubator (Softstart BTI) was the result of a merger between the Softstart Trust and the Bodibeng Technology Incubator (BTI), effective 1st of April 2006, the main objective of this merge was to contribute to the process of creating successful enterprises in the Information & Communication Technology sector by providing them with a comprehensive and integrated range of business and office support services that include the following: incubator space, business advice and mentoring services, and clustering and networking opportunities. Following on the merger and through the support of SEDA, Softstart BTI purchased a building on the N1 corridor in Midrand, where the incubator had since been operating. Softstart BTI’s founding institutions are the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the University of Pretoria (UP), the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).
