Softmed is an Australian-owned company and was founded in 2017 as a medical device supplier and commenced production in 2020. Softmed employs many skilled Australians from the scientific and manufacturing sectors. Softmed specialise in the domestic manufacture and distribution of healthcare, personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control products. Softmed has a world-class local ISO 13485 certified manufacturing facility and testing laboratory in Campbellfield, on the outskirts of Melbourne. It Is the first in Australia to produce the full cycle of non-woven fabric raw materials to end products. The onsite laboratory tests every batch of material and products for quality assurance purposes. Softmed sets environmental and sustainable goals. • Upto 97% of its energy use is generated via rooftop solar panels • Softmed factory is located close to Tullamarine Airport, which minimise transportation carbon emissions. Softmed’s goal is to become the largest domestic provider of over 300 types of PPE products for the medical, dental, aged care, food, hardware, safety and hygiene sectors.
