SoCo Dance Theater is dedicated to the creation and promotion of dynamic and engaging contemporary dance in Sonoma County. We support and showcase local choreographers exploring traditional and experimental approaches to dance. Periodically we host informal first-come open choreography showcases. We hope these gatherings will nurture the community of choreographers and inspire even more innovative work. If you would like to learn more about our open showcases, please contact us and express your interest. Our core group of choreographers takes their passion for dance to the next level by working to organize our performances and support each other throughout the year. Periodically we accept new advisory committee members on a trial period that can become long term. If you would like to join our advisory committee, please contact us with some information (videos are great) about your choreographic work, the organizational skills you would bring to the group, and your history in the dance community at large.
