So So Gay Information

SSG Media publishes So So Gay, the UK's leading features-based online LGBT magazine, reaching up to 500,000 readers each month. It publishes news, reviews, interviews and features every weekday, aiming to inform and entertain the LGBT community with articles from some of the UK’s best up-and-coming writers. In September the LGB charity Stonewall announced that So So Gay had been short-listed for the Stonewall Publication of the Year Award, alongside national titles including Guardian Weekend. So So Gay's edgy, fun and thoughtful approach to journalism is proving a big hit in an online space short of original, features-led reportage for the LGBT community. Its content has drawn praise from high profile figures from the LGBT community and beyond, including chief executives of some of the UK’s leading LGBT charities. The magazine aims to be an activist publication, by supporting charities and playing an active role in debates affecting its readers; its Editor-in-Chief is a frequent commentator on social affairs issues on Gaydar radio, BBC Radio, LBC and other media, and its leader articles have achieved exceptionally wide coverage in social and mainstream media. Additionally, its increasingly popular arts and culture reviews have been quoted on billboards and DVD covers, and earlier this year the magazine was selected as the official online gay media supporter for a major national tour of LGBT film organised by Peccadillo Pictures.
