Snowball Studios is a Russian games publisher founded in 1996. By 2010, Snowball released in Russia over 300 third-party titles on PC, PSP, PS2, PS3, X360, Wii & DS platforms. 35 of these have sold through over 100,000 units in Russia. Snowball's portfolio includes partners such as Amanita Design, Battlefront, CD Projekt, Daedalic Entertainment, dtp Entertainment, Disney Interactive, Frictional Games, Funcom, Gammafon, Larian Studios, Novalogic, PAN Vision, Paradox Interactive, Stardock, THQ and many others. Always a vocal member of the Russian games industry, Snowball is perhaps best known for its aggressive approach to fusing together licensing, localization and marketing to create a seamless publishing environment where advance in each field works towards improving the overall commercial potential of the product. In 2010, Snowball Studios merged with 1C-SoftClub, creating the leading publishing & distribution company on the games market that covers Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Snowball's team assumed senior positions within the Russian and international offices of 1C-SoftClub with the ambition of enhancing the publishing focus of the group. As of 2011, Snowball remains in operation as the group's dedicated publishing label for independent projects, recently pioneering the real digital publishing in the territory.
