Snowball is a multi-dollar real estate empire with a growing portfolio of nationwide inventory and at least one spreadsheet that thinks we’re killing it. It all started on August 13, 2005, when lightning struck my home and torched the attic. I was back on-site the next day, and over the next 7 months and 7 days, I renovated the entire house — from framing to finishing — learning hands-on skills, patience, and just how long inspections can take. Snowball now acquires, renovates, and manages rental properties with an eye toward long-term value, livability, and insulation R-values. The whole operation is powered by an ever-growing tool collection that out grew the garage long ago. We’ve also begun electrifying our homes with heat pumps and solar panels for a clean and renewable future. We’re not a Fortune 500 company yet, but if ROI were measured in grit, kilowatt-hours, and the number of DeWalt batteries in use, we'd already be on the cover of something.
