Snow Mountain Alpacas, LLC Information

We are producers of seed stock Huacaya alpacas (the "fluffy" looking alpacas). First and foremost, we raise healthy and structurally sound alpacas and although our foundation herd started with good fiber, we strive to improve our fiber structure, handle and micron with each breeding. We continue to successfully reduce our fiber micron with each successive breeding. We started our herd in 2006. Our need and desire to bring a change of lifestyle into our lives brought us to the world of alpacas. This lifestyle change was not necessarily to reduce our workload, but more importantly and definitively to provide a less stressful and far more enjoyable life for ourselves. The available federal and state tax benefits helped to seal the deal and allow the opportunity for us to attain financial independence for ourselves. Ultimately, our goal is to be able to focus 100% of our time on raising quality alpacas. One of the best side effects of the alpaca lifestyle is the close-knit community of alpaca breeders and the incredible relationships we have attained through this industry. We may be a small farm, but we are here to assist all new and experienced alpaca owners by offering agistment (boarding), quality herdsires (including mobile and drive-by breedings), quality alpacas, and sharing of all the knowledge and resources available to us. We are always available to our customers and those looking into the industry.
