Snider Engineering Information

Snider Engineering was founded by Tracy Snider in 2003 and provides services to an expanding list of clients in the North Carolina Piedmont Triad and surrounding areas. Tracy is the principle engineer in the firm and is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. He is also a licensed general contractor and prior to establishing Snider Engineering he ran a successful construction company. Tracy no longer builds, but this experience gives him a perspective often lacking by other engineers that offer similar services. He understands that while designs first and foremost must comply with accepted engineering practices, they must also be practical and cost effective to implement. Also, when engineering issues occur during construction bringing your project to a halt, resolution must come quick to minimize the impact on your schedule. In almost all cases, clients deal directly with Tracy and he strives to provide personalized service. Tracy graduated from North Carolina Sate University in 1988 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He received his professional engineering license in 1994. Prior to entering the construction field, he worked for 10 years as a Product Engineer with Westinghouse where he analyzed and designed steam and gas turbine components utilizing finite element and fracture mechanics techniques.
