SMSbiotech is a clinical stage biotechnology company pioneering the next frontier of regenerative cell therapy. The platform is designed to support scalable manufacturing, stability, and repeatable treatment approaches. Our lead COPD program is advancing through Phase 1b clinical development in the United States and Australia. Following FDA review of our Investigational New Drug (IND) application, SMSbiotech received a “Study May Proceed” notification, clearing the way to initiate a U.S. Phase 1b clinical study of nebulized SMS Cells in patients with COPD. Beyond COPD, SMSbiotech is advancing its platform across respiratory, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and other chronic degenerative diseases with significant unmet medical needs.
