Here at Sms Timber Frame, we are a small close knit team. The company director and owner Mike Smith is very hands on in his approach, taking care of the day to day running of the company personally and dealing with sales and pricing for all projects. Mike has 35 years experience in timber frame construction, beginning his career as a timber frame erector, and progressing later in his career to provide the full timber frame structural package. With this experience and knowledge driving the company, you can be confident that the structural solution we provide for your project will be tailored perfectly for the task in hand. Thomas Smith began his career in Timber Frame after college. He spent 2 years manufacturing timber frame products with Sms Timber Frame, and two years erecting Timber Frame Structures. From then he has gone on to become the project manager, and timber frame designer for all projects carried out by Sms Timber Frame. The combination of experience and knowledge provided by Mike, the advancements and utilisation of ever changing technologies and the site-led design born from hands on experience in the trade, means the quality of the timber frame both in terms of service and design is second to none. The factory staff are again a very small and highly motivated team. Each employee is trained from day 1 by Mike himself and collectively they are encouraged to take pride and care in every aspect of production and packaging. Communication is key at Sms Timber Frame and we make it a priority to ensure all members of our team are kept up to date on deadlines and client requirements specific to manufacture and packaging of products.
