Founded in 1936, the institute now has over 40,000 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service. For more than 100 years the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has been and still is the leading association for the construction industry. We are the oldest and largest construction association representing general and specialty contractors and represent more than 27,000 firms, including over 6,500 of America’s leading general contractors, over 8,800 specialty-contracting firms, and more than 10,400 service providers and suppliers.
