My coaching approach is grounded in the principles of motivational interviewing (MI) & Rational Emotional Behaviour Therapy (REBT). Both MI and REBT are evidence-based techniques supported by a breadth of scientific research. What is your approach to leadership & team development? The SCORE(S) program is grounded in the social identity approach to leadership and team development. The key difference between the social identity approach versus traditional leadership programs, is that it develops the leader as part of the group rather than in a cohort group away from their team. The 5 phases of the SCORE leadership & team development program are: Sharing: What is identity leadership & why does ‘we’ matter? Considering: What are my meaningful identities and how do they influence the group? Originating: Develop team identity, values, behaviours and vision Realising: How do we become what we want to be? Evaluating: Are we becoming what we want to be? Keeping it on track and course correction Phase 6 is elevating the role of the hierarchical leader to that of conductor. (S)hared leadership: Building on these principles, the next phase of team & leadership development is to develop a shared leadership program which harnesses the power of the group and develops leaders in a range of areas.
