Blue Hill at Stone Barns is a farm-to-table dining experience and a leading voice in the sustainable food movement. Led by chef and author Dan Barber and partners David and Laureen Barber, we have been perennially regarded as one of the world’s most exciting and innovative places to eat, cook, and explore since our opening in 2004. We are located on and partner closely with the Stone Barns Center, an 80-acre working farm in Pocantico Hills, New York. Together, Blue Hill and Stone Barns Center form a passionate research and education community seeking to develop a regional eating culture driven by the needs of the land. Our story began with a family farm in the Berkshires. Today, we’ve grown into Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Family Meal in New York City, a casual Cafeteria, and a marketplace. What began as a small restaurant in a former garage frequented by those ‘in the know’ has, after more than thirty years, won nearly every culinary award and accolade, and attracted a devoted following from around the world. This success owes as much to Chef/Proprietor Patrick O’Connell’s unforgettable culinary wizardry as to the warm, professional yet personal welcome that guests receive at The Inn at Little Washington, both in the restaurant and in the 24 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and cottages. Through the years The Inn at Little Washington is fortunate to have been honored with numerous awards and distinctions: The esteemed 116 year old Michelin Guide launched its first ever guide to Washington DC in October 2016. The legendary Inn at Little Washington has been awarded three stars – the only restaurant in the DC area to earn this distinction. The 2016 Forbes Travel Guide (formerly known as the Mobil Travel Guide) for the 26th year in a row, awarded The Inn at Little Washington’s accommodations its highest accolade – Five Stars. The 2016 Forbes Travel Guide also awarded The Inn at Little Washington’s Restaurant Five Stars for the 25th year in a row making it one of only 40 restaurants in the U.S. to hold this distinction. The American Automobile Association for 2017 once again bestowed its highest accolade – The Five Diamond Award -- on The Inn at Little Washington Restaurant for the 29th consecutive year making it the longest tenured restaurant in the history of the program. AAA also awarded The Inn at Little Washington’s accommodations Five Diamonds for the 27th consecutive year. Andrew Harper’s Hideaway 2016 Reader’s Choice Award for the Top 20 Getaways ranked The Inn #4 in the United States. Patrick O’Connell was selected for Le Chef Magazine’s Top 100 Chef’s in the World list and is one of only 10 American chefs included.
