Smith & Harroff, Inc. Information

Smith & Harroff (S&H) was founded in 1973 by J. Brian Smith and Mark Harroff. The firm initially established its reputation as a highly successful political consulting and advertising agency known best for winning seemingly “unwinnable” races. Until 2002, S&H produced advertising for 10-15 candidates in each election cycle and, with over a hundred victories, we had one of the best win-loss records in the business. In the mid-1970s, S&H became one of the first political consulting firms to successfully transition into corporate public affairs and public relations counseling, which now accounts for most of the firm’s client relationships. S&H ranks among the most highly regarded public relations firms in the country, specializing in strategic communications counseling, corporate public affairs and issue advertising. Our size ensures senior-level personal attention, while providing the full range of communications services needed today to convey messages effectively and win policy debates. S&H is an issues-oriented company that integrates a broad range of skills to improve the public opinion and strengthen the legislative and regulatory environment in which our clients must operate. Our proven ability to offer strategic counseling enables us to select the most effective combination of services necessary to solve corporate problems, and debate issues in the opinion marketplace.
