Smith Engineering Co., Inc. is a Civil/Structural Engineering and Land Surveying firm established in 1991 by Mr. F. Kenneth Smith as a one-man design firm. Prior to this endeavor, Mr. Smith was employed by one of the largest engineering firms in Northwest Louisiana for 22 years; the last 10 of which he was vice president in charge of all civil, site, and utility related projects. Brian Smith joined the firm in 1992; and, together they have strived to develop an ethical and professional design and surveying firm serving the Southern United States. Since our introduction, Smith Engineering Co. has been extensively involved in a variety of project types including: single and multi-family housing, commercial/office developments, retail developments, restaurants, subdivision planning, water system and sewer collection projects, drainage investigations and studies, Section 10/404 permitting, sanitary treatment designs, industrial and warehousing projects. Our staff is comprised of dedicated individuals with a "do what it takes" attitude. We have the in-house capabilities to provide production drawings in Microstation and AutoCad formats as well as BIM models using REVIT and Tekla Structures. We have the latest civil and structural computer design software that allows us to provide our clients with an efficient and economical end product. More importantly, we have the experience and expertise to apply these tools to our projects, backed by a common sense approach to problem solving. This is evidenced by our expanding list of repeat clients.
