Smi-Carr, Inc. manufactures the STAKE CHASER®/LINE MARK® stake markers. These markers, referred to as "flags", are constructed of polypropylene strands attached to a metal bracket which allows the strands to stand erect to point out the location of the stake. The metal bracket is designed so that it can be driven directly into a wooden stake or slipped onto a 60d nail to be driven directly into the ground. STAKE CHASER®/LINE MARK® flags are attached on top of the stakes to make locating the stakes easier and more efficient. STAKE CHASER®/LINE MARK® flags are manufactured in eight different bright colors making them perfect for color coding purposes and allowing the selection of colors for high visibility in all types of soil conditions. Used on road construction grade stakes, the STAKE CHASER® allows the grader operator to readily see the location of the stake. After the grader blade passes over the stake the STAKE CHASER® springs back erect so the location of the stake is again readily visible. Heavy machinery and equipment and normal traffic do not harm the STAKE CHASER® so it can remain effective throughout its useful phase of the job. LINE MARK® flags make perfect location markers for underground lines. The semipermanent markers allow surface marking of underground lines around excavation sites. The six standard utility colors allow identification of lines, while white is used for perimeter marking and pink is used for surveying purposes. Purple is a new color designating reclaimed and non-potable water. The durability of LINE MARK® flags lets them withstand the abuse of normal traffic and also the traffic of heavy machinery; even mowers. When used on building construction sites STAKE CHASER®/LINE MARK® flags mark the stakes used for foundations, floors, utility ditches, pier holes, bench marks, etc. Stakes marked with STAKE CHASER®/LINE MARK® flags can easily be seen from a distance and the bright colors will not blend into and become lost in grass and foliage.
