SMEunited Information

SMEunited is the association of crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Europe. We speak on behalf of the 26,1 million SMEs in Europe, which employ around 89 million people. SMEunited is a recognised employers’ organisation and European Social Partner, and acts on behalf of crafts and SMEs in European Social Dialogue and in discussions with the EU institutions. We are a non-profit seeking and non-partisan organisation. SMEunited was formerly known as UEAPME. SMEunited’s mission is shaping Europe for SMEs and shaping SMEs for Europe. We act to create an SME-friendly climate in the European Union in which SMEs can thrive, and we build capacity with our member organisations and entrepreneurs across Europe so that SMEs benefit from the opportunities offered by the European Union.
