SMB Essentials Information

SMB Essentials is a Lifestyle and Wellness company - developing brands to address the health and beauty needs of women and men. In 2002, Lake Louise introduced its flagship brand Lotus Moon®. Since then, Plain Jane Beauty®, eco-beauty cosmetics for women who want to keep beauty simple and as natural as possible and DetoxRX®, products to help with weight loss, cellulite reduction and whole body rejuvenation - have been added to the lineup. After receiving her masters degree from Stanford University in 1995, Lake needed a change of scenery, with her two young children in tow, she headed to Costa Rica where she was offered a professorship at the University of Costa Rica teaching sustainability and ecoresponsibility in the Ecological Tourism Department. In 1998, Lake returned to her birthplace, San Francisco. For the next few years, Lake taught at local private schools in the Bay Area. No longer feeling the fire she once had for classroom teaching Lake decided it was time to follow her vision and let her entrepreneurial spirit be her guide and combined her research skills with her passion for wellness, natural healing and beauty. Today, Lake is applying the principles of sustainability, her passion for radiant and healthy skin and vast ingredient knowledge in the development of our three brands: Lotus Moon®, DetoxRx® and Plain Jane Beauty®. Her commitment to developing natural and safe skin and body care products and her interest in educating spa professionals and the general public about natural ingredients and treatments have greatly contributed to the success of her company.
