THE HARDWARE AND IoT SEED INVESTOR SmartWare.tech is the first specialized hardware and IoT investor in the CEE region based in Hungary, where investment experience is combined with prototyping expertise & equipment, business development support, and startup management know-how. Our main focus areas are mobility, Industry 4.0, and medical technologies. Besides providing pre-seed funding in the range of 20-200k EUR, we support our portfolio companies in - building fit-for-purpose MVPs and prototypes, - jumpstarting customer and business development, - designing and sharpening business models, and preparing for raising follow-up funding. SmartWare.tech's team members have had multiple years of experience in venture capital investment, international startup building, early-stage startup support, and hardware & software development, prototyping, and design. SW.t was founded by five for-profit companies, which continue to support the Investment Formation with a wide range of resources and assets at their disposal. The five companies jointly employ 90 professionals, and own 5 sites with prototyping capabilities. The stability and long-term sustainability of SmartWare.tech is secured by these five businesses and the extensive and cross-industrial professional networks behind them.
