Smarter Sweat Information

Smarter Sweat offers personal training and ready-to-use fitness programs created by performance coach Amanda Capritto. Smarter Sweat was born after a years-long struggle with disordered eating and compulsive exercise due to body dysmorphia issues, when Amanda realized that she owes much of her healing to the great outdoors. Outdoor physical activity—-hiking, biking, paddling, and backpacking in particular—-helped Amanda find purpose, gratitude, and a sense of adventure in her day-to-day life. By getting out of the gym and into nature, Amanda was able to recalibrate and recenter, ultimately coming to the realization that “looking good” isn’t the best reason to move—and that working out inside of a gym isn’t the only way to stay fit. Amanda became certified as a personal trainer in 2017 and has since earned multiple specialist credentials in the fitness industry. Now, through Smarter Sweat, she helps people prepare for outdoor pursuits so that they can recreate outdoors confidently and get the most out of their experiences.
