Slam Out Loud Information

Slam Out Loud is a nonprofit building curiosity and imagination in underserved children through visual and performing arts. Working closely with educators, artists, and government partners, we design contextual curriculum and classroom practices, and support implementation through teacher training and sustained classroom engagement. Our work uses poetry, storytelling, theatre, music, and visual arts to strengthen emotional awareness, analytical thinking, self-expression, and student agency. This year, our programs are reaching over 700,000 children across government schools and community spaces in India. By embedding creative learning into everyday teaching, we enable safer classrooms, more participatory spaces where children are encouraged to think independently, express themselves confidently, and engage more deeply with learning. Slam Out Loud’s approach has been recognized by institutions including the World Bank, UNESCO MGIEP, Harvard, and WISE Qatar, reflecting the credibility and growing relevance of arts-based learning within education systems at scale.
