Aeroflot is Russia’s de facto National carrier and largest Airline. Founded on March 17, 1923, Aeroflot is among the world’s oldest airlines and one of Russia’s most recognised brands. Aeroflot was the first Russian airline company to join the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 1989. In 2013, Aeroflot carried 20.9 million passengers (18.4 percent up on 2012), 60.2 billion passenger-kilometres were flown (19.2 % increase), the load factor constituted 78.8%. The total of 31.4 million passengers flew with companies of Aeroflot Group in 2013 (+14.3%). Aeroflot under the Winter schedule of 2014, operates flights to 122 destinations in 53 countries (39 destinations in Russia). As part of its commitment to safety, Aeroflot operates the largest Centre of Flight Control (CFC) in Eastern Europe. The company also set up an up-to-date Emergency Operations Centre based on modern technologies. Aeroflot's Hub Control Centre has been put into operation in Sheremetyevo with the purpose to coordinate transfer connection processes and oversee the flight control at the airport. Aeroflot's Ecological Management and Control System incorporates up-to-date technologies and standards. The company has adopted Energy and Ecological Efficiency Program which is in full compliance with IATA's ecological strategy. The airline pays a special attention to its presence in the Russian market, especially Siberia and the Far East. Aeroflot places emphasis on constantly enhancing the quality of its products and services as well as on expanding its range. S7 Airlines is Russia’s largest domestic air carrier, based at three large air transport hubs: Moscow (Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) and Irkutsk. It also has regular flights to the countries of the CIS, Europe, the Near East, South Asia and to countries in the Asia-Pacific region. S7 Airlines is a member of the global oneworld aviation alliance, world leader in providing quality services to passengers. Branches and representatives of S7 can be found in 37 cities in Russia, 13 cities in the CIS, and in 14 other cities worldwide, including Frankfurt-am-Maine (Germany), Beijing (China), Seoul (South Korea), Antalya (Turkey) and Bangkok (Thailand). S7 Airlines leads the market in the provision of on-line services, allowing passengers to choose flights, reserve tickets, make payments and check in for flights through its website. In 2008 the airline changed over entirely to the use of e-ticket technology, and 2009 saw the launch of the first mobile website of any Russian airline, here at s7.ru. Then, in January 2011, the airline introduced the ‘mobile boarding pass’ service. The S7 Priority program enables frequent flyers to collect miles, and receive bonuses from S7 Airlines, other oneworld members, and from other commercial partners.

Transaero Airlines launched service in 1991. Consortium is making plan aimed to continue its legacy and reclaim glory of the top international airline. Transaero had been the second largest Russian airline serving international routes. Transaero won Wings of Russian 2007 award in Airline of the Year – the Best Airline Serving International Routes. Transaero had been the leader of the industry in terms of long-term stable development. The airline’s passenger flow grew by almost 12 times in the five years in 2010s. Transaero had the largest long-haul fleet in the Russian Federation, which includes 42 aircraft: 12 -747s, 11 -767s, 15 -737s, 2 - 777 and 2 Tupolev Tu-214. Transaero was the only airline in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe countries to operate modern wide-body -747 airplanes. Transaero served routes connecting Moscow with 85 destinations and it is the only Russian airline to operate scheduled flights to five continents. International flights account for approximately 85% of the entire passenger turnover of the airline. Transaero had obtained IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate, which confirms the compliance of Transaero safety procedures with the most stringent IATA regulations. Transaero quality management system had been certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. The airline’s maintenance service had all necessary certificates issued by Russian, European (JAA) and US (FAA) regulatory authorities, which authorize the airline to perform maintenance of both Russian- and foreign-built airplanes. Transaero was also a leader in terms of e-commerce. In March 2007 it became the first Russian airline to introduce e-ticket. In May 2007 for the first time in the Russian market it offered Web check-in services to its passengers.
