Skybot Challenge is committed to the development of young minds to find their passion in STEM through 3-D robotics. Skybots are taking to the airspace in record numbers and professions in robotics and autonomous systems will soar as an infinite number of applications are coming to reality. Instilling a Passion for learning, a spark for Innovation and the instinct of Discovery is the key to inspiration of the next generation of technical superstars. Skybot has challenged young minds for four years. Our fifth competition will be held in May 2019. Our inspiration springs from the basic premise of directly working with students. Our netted course assembly has increased safety for audience and officials. 548 student team members from 20 different schools have experienced the magic of Skybot Challenge. We have also developed standards that rival those of FIRST and VEX robotics to insist on professional comportment of the students, sportsmanship, engineering skills, and entrepreneurial prowess. Bringing the community to the schools is working. Skybot Challenge was invited to demonstrate drone technology to primary school students at the Destination Imagination Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee last year.
