The Sixth Amendment Center (6AC) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that helps policymakers ensure that no indigent person faces jail or prison time without a constitutionally effective lawyer. We are the only organization that exclusively examines and assists governments in fixing the root cause of America’s indigent defense crisis. We do not lobby or litigate.
