Sitara Systems is a woman- and minority-owned studio practicing spatial human–computer interaction (spatial HCI): the design of interactive and immersive media for physical space. We help museums, cultural institutions, and experience centers turn society's hardest-to-explain ideas into experiences that inform, move, and inspire. What sets us apart is method: our practice is grounded in original, peer-reviewed research (SIGGRAPH, CHI) on how interactive media works in physical space — so clients get research-backed design, not just craft. Selected work: the artificial-life system behind Anicka Yi's In Love With the World at Tate Modern (recognized in Fast Company's 2022 Innovation by Design Awards and selected by Communication Arts); multimedia interactives for the renovated Yale Peabody Museum; and interactive experiences for the Port of Long Beach and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
