The Black Women's Health Imperative is the only national nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our nation's 21 million Black women and girls - physically, emotionally and financially.
Since 2010, GirlTREK has mobilized Black women for health and healing justice in America. Since our beginning, over 1 million Black women have taken the pledge to walk their way to better health and healing for themselves and in their communities. By implementing our free "Walk, Talk, Solve Problems" program, we address three primary drivers of early death in Black women — inactivity, isolation, and injustice — and help to achieve our outcomes of reducing inactivity, eliminating isolation, and combating injustice.
The Mission of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. is to advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.
