Sinchi is a non-profit which promotes human rights and the preservation of indigenous culture. The mission of the organisation is to highlight the importance of indigenous knowledge and to uphold the UN’s declaration on the rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). Indigenous Culture represents a continuum of intellect and creativity through history. It provides a sense of continuity with the past, with traditions and ancestral heritage. Its loss would be a loss to all of humanity. The modern world is advancing at an incredible rate in many ways from technology, medicine to general living standards but we need to be careful to not lose something in the process of progress. Indigenous knowledge teaches us about the importance of community, living in balance with nature, knowing oneself and being more deeply connected to the people around us. ‘Because our Liberation is Bound Together’
