Simrell+Scott Information

I’m Rachel Simrell Scott, and Simrell+Scott is my independent brand and marketing practice in Seattle. I help organizations strengthen their brand systems, content, and marketing operations, including AI workflows that let teams produce on-brand work on their own. I came to the work through design. I trained as an architect, then spent eleven years at Board & Vellum, a Seattle architecture, interiors, and landscape firm. I led its brand and marketing for the last nine, ultimately as a Principal and owner. That work covered brand identity and guidelines, voice, the website and its content, environmental graphics and wayfinding, and the CRM behind the firm’s business development pipeline. I treat AI the same way I treat any powerful tool: worth integrating carefully, with an honest read on how it’s changing the work. At Board & Vellum, I created a Claude environment carrying the brand guidelines, team, and project context for colleagues in non-marketing fields. Simrell+Scott began in 2012 as a small architecture and web design studio. The name hasn’t changed. The work has. So, let’s make something (together).
