SimplifyCT (SCT) helps Connecticut’s low-to-moderate-income and at-risk residents navigate the complex process of accessing social safety-net benefits. Our mission is to unlock access to vital benefits and empower low-to-moderate-income individuals and families to build income, grow assets, and achieve lasting financial stability through the combined strength of skilled volunteers, compassionate staff, and innovative technology. Founded in 2020, SCT bridges technology and human connection—offering both virtual and in-person services to close critical service gaps. Today, SCT is one of the largest providers of free tax preparation services across Connecticut – and among the nation - serving over 14,000 individuals annually, returning millions in tax refunds and benefits, and helping families build the foundation for lasting financial independence.
