Simplicity manages a nonprofit, lowest fee, 100% online, KiwiSaver plan with a mission to make Kiwis better off in retirement. We are a challenger brand and industry disrupter and we like it that way. We aim to always be the lowest fee KiwiSaver plan, and maximise member returns. How are we able to do this? * We only charge you what it costs us to invest your retirement savings and our basic expenses. * We have no shiny offices, no costly advertising and no commissions. * We are a small, lean team that has the backing of a lot of volunteers with heaps of experience who share a common desire to give back to New Zealand, to make a difference and to 'do the right thing;'​ 15% of revenue is donated to charities. Simplicity KiwiSaver Scheme puts you in control by giving you total transparency and control. Our web app allows you to see exactly how much you put in, your employer's contributions, member tax credits, returns, tax and fees. Each fund has over 3,000 different investments in 23 countries, with international investments managed by Vanguard (who manage $5.3 trillion globally). All investments are 100% hedged to the NZ dollar. Also, effective December 2016, we our investments are exclusive of tobacco, landmines and nuclear weapons manufacturers. We charge the same annual fees for all funds. $30 + $3 for every $1000 in your account (0.3%). The average investor, over a lifetime of savings, could be $65,000 better off from the savings in fees. Our business partners are the best in the industry which gives you peace of mind and confidence knowing your money is in good hands. We use Vanguard (second largest asset manager in the world - also nonprofit) for our international shares. Public Trust is our supervisor. MMC is our administrator and Deloitte our auditor.
