Simple Minded Beats Information

Founded by Scott Hatfield in 2013, Simple Minded Beats is a no-frills collective of like-minded DJ’s, producers and visual artists with a shared passion for house music---past, present and future. SMB isn’t about the latest club bangers, the DJ Mag Top 100, or bottle service. We give a platform for DJ’s to dig deep into their collections and show us another side their fans may not have heard before. We play in living rooms, basements and garages. We play on boats, in warehouses and deep in the woods. Most of all, We Play House Music. Wednesdays (6-10 pm) mark our featured live webcast with SMB founder Scott Hatfield and co-hosts Jswizza, Jamel Lee, Matt Jenkins, Frankie Jr, Jose Ramos and Jes-E --- featuring some of the best musical guests the Bay Area has to offer. Every 2nd Wednesday we bring you a NEW monthly happy hour series at Mayes Oyster House on Post st. $1.00 oysters, happy hour specials and enough room to get your shuffle on all evening. On Fridays the crew gets together for libations and funky beats at the intimate Rum & Sugar on Geary.
