Simone Consulting Information

Simone Consulting is a provider of a wide variety of consulting services in cancer care and cancer research, including strategic planning, program structure, quality assessment, recruitment, physical facilities, and other areas. Consulting services have been provided to a variety of organizations, including academic medical centers, community hospitals, government agencies and architects. Dr. Simone personally provides these services based on his extensive experience and leadership in cancer medicine, cancer research and cancer administration at the institutional and national levels. He has served as the director (CEO) of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, physician-in-chief of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and as the first senior clinical director of the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. He has served as president of the Association of American Cancer Institutes, founding chairman of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, and as a member of the boards of directors of the American Society for Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research. He has served as chairman of the National Cancer Policy Board of the Institute of Medicine and served on the board of scientific advisors of the National Cancer Institute. He served as associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Oncology for 18 years. He writes a regular column for Oncology Times for which he has received four awards for excellence. Dr. Simone currently serves as an external advisor to a number of NCI-designated cancer centers, including: Moffitt Cancer Center and university cancer centers at USC-Norris, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oregon and UC-San Diego.
