SIMCO ENGINEERING, situated in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, manufactures Energy Meters supplied to various utilities. The company boasts of being one of the first energy meter manufacturers in the country popularly known for its “Simco” brand of meters. Spread over a total area of 8 acres Simco , possesses strong engineering capability in design and manufacture of energy meters. SIMCO also houses a Defense systems division where it is primarily engaged in Indigenous Development of Electrical and Electro-mechanical systems and sub systems for T90, T-72, BMP Battle tanks and their various versions manufactured at HVF Avadi and Ordnance Factory Medak.
