Silver Tree Solutions was founded by Larry Shoup who leads the company as CEO and President. Prior to founding Silver Tree Larry was Vice President of Customer Service at Legent Corporation. He left Legent in 1992 to co-found Janus Technologies and lead it as CEO and President. Under his leadership, Janus developed and marketed Argis, an industry-leading IT Asset Management Solution. In 1997, Janus was honored as the fastest growing technology company in Pittsburgh. Larry was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Western Pennsylvania in 1999. In 2000, Intraware Inc. purchased Janus Technologies, and Larry assumed the role of Vice President and General Manager of Intraware's ITAM division. Intraware later sold the Argis product to Computer Associates (CA) in 2002, and Larry joined CA. There, he held several positions including Vice President of Product Management and CEO of iCan, a subsidiary of CA. Larry left CA in September 2005 to found Silver Tree Solutions.
