SilkOps does this not only with development experience, but also years of experience in the custom apparel industry. SilkOps was born in January of 2015 when, after four years of working in a custom print shop cofounder, Thomas West, could not help but think there had to be a better way to run things. Inputting orders was time consuming, managing production for each job was hard, and keeping track of the daily flow of the shop was lacking efficiency. There were single solutions out there for things like invoicing and inventory, but nothing had it all. Thomas knew there had to be a better way to do things that didn’t involve bouncing between multiple platforms. Thomas and Taylor began talking about the issues and the lack of a viable solution. Then Taylor said, "Why can't everything a print shop needs be offered in one place?" Thomas agreed, and so they formed a business partnership to start looking for the best solution. After months of discussing and researching SilkOps was launched as the solution in May of 2015.
