Silicon Valley Chapter Information

The Silicon Valley Directors Exchange (SVDX) is a new organization with a long history in Northern California. Originally formed in 1998 (as the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors), SVDX is a network of corporate directors and executives who represent the interests of the most important technology companies in the world. We arrived at our organization's name after much discussion with our members. The last word in our title Exchange expresses our mission. We are a forum for corporate directors and executives a place to meet, learn and interact with each other. We are particularly proud of our affiliation with Stanfords Rock Center for Corporate Governance. The Rock Center is a collaborative organization, a joint venture by the School of Law and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Under an agreement with Stanford, SVDX will hold many of our meetings and events on campus. We intend to include global thought leaders from Stanford at our programs for many years to come. In addition to our regular meetings usually held on the third Thursday of the month, we will be adding special networking events, offering our members more opportunities to connect. As a longtime resident of Silicon Valley, I feel lucky and blessed to live in this special place at this special time. Like Florence at the time of the Medici, Silicon Valley is enjoying a golden age. As directors you play a key role in that success of Silicon Valley. The SVDX will be there to support you and your work.
