Sigma Xi - Rice TMC Chapter Information

We are the local chapter of the Sigma Xi National Research Honor Society, serving Rice University and the Texas Medical Center. Our chapter is devoted to promoting research and researchers, through education, outreach, recognition, and community. Membership is available at multiple tiers, from pre-collegiate Explorer groups, through Associate Membership for early-career researchers, and Full Membership for those with broad publication history. Our Chapter participates annually as judges at the Science & Engineering Fair of Houston (SEFH), and hosts programming throughout the year to highlight the unique scientific resources available in Houston. Our Rice-TMC Chapter was formed in 1938, and comprises members from nearly all of the major research centers in Houston. We welcome researchers of all levels and disciplines to join our Chapter, learn about research in Houston, and participate in mentorship and advocacy for research!
