State Innovations in Family Planning Services Project Agency (SIFPSA) has been a joint venture of Government of India, USAID and Government of Uttar Pradesh under Indo-US bilateral agreement for implementing the Innovations in Family Planning Services (IFPS) project in the State. During the two decades of successful implementation of IFPS project, SIFPSA has made its mark in the global arena in Family Planning and Reproductive Child Health. New vistas have opened up for SIFPSA, post "IFPS Project", with new resolve to expand its horizons in other areas of healthcare utilizing its knowledge repository and technical skills and carry on its legacy as a vibrant Technical Support Organisation of excellence. Consistent with this vision, SIFPSA continues to strive for carrying out innovative strategies and best practices in the field of Family Planning and Reproductive Child Health and is all set to forging partnerships with national and international organisations to take on the increasing challenges of universal health goals. SIFPSA is unique with its belongingness to GOUP and ownership of GOI, a good mix of government and professional management, taking up public and private activities simultaneously, offering services both in government and NGO sector. While SIFPSA has championed itself in innovative interventions in programme management, community participation, mass media campaigns strengthening public sector, quality assurance, and private sector involvement on a wider scale, it has an inherent linkage with the National Health Mission in Uttar Pradesh. GoUP has also recognized SIFPSA as the State Technical Support Unit (STSU). SIFPSA has plans to expand its activities in the districts that are not covered by BMGF for providing technical and program management support in the area of RMNCH+A.
