Sierra Structural Inc Information

Sierra Structural is an Engineering and Construction company that specializes in the design, fabrication, and erection of complex steel and concrete buildings. Sierra Structural is also a manufacturer pre-engineered joists and girders, pedestrian bridges, and solar carport structures. The company was established in 1995 by Mark Mero. While in college in the early 80's Mark majored in civil engineering and computer science. In the summers he worked as an apprentice ironworker and welder for several AISC level fabricators. During his last year of college he worked for a structural engineering firm in the design and detailing department. After 8 years project managing the design and construction of small to medium sized steel buildings, he went off and started his own business. At first the projects were small structural fabrications for high end custom homes. By 1999 the company had grown to 15 employees and was fabricating and erecting commercial projects in the 200 to 300 ton range.
