Side-Swaps Information

Hello folks, my name is Derrick L James. I have been a mechanical engineer for 27 years, and I am always tinkering and imagining how my mechanical engineering skills and background could be applied in other areas outside of traditional engineering fields. One such field is the apparel industry. When you think of fashion, the first thing you think about is probably not a mechanical engineer. However, a couple of years ago, I was imagining what could be done to a pair of cargo shorts, to make them customizable. Over time, this thought experiment begin to take shape, and has led to what I would like to introduce to the world as Side-Swaps. Side-Swaps is a cargo shorts system that replaces the cargo pockets with interchangeable, updateable, and swappable pouches. This concept gave birth to my tagline "Flip your gear & swap your style with Side-Swaps".
