Sichtflug is a free flight assistant and community platform for paragliding and hang gliding pilots in the European Alps. At its core is Europe's most accurate open wind, weather and thermal forecast model built on high-resolution weather models (MeteoSwiss ICON-CH1 at 1 km in the Alps, DWD ICON-D2 at 2.2 km beyond), with climb rates, cloud base, and usable thermal windows per launch site, plus a regional thermal map that colours entire flying areas by expected thermal strength. Forecast accuracy is verified publicly against real mountain weather stations, every ten minutes, every day.
